Having established the effectiveness of her nanoparticle drug-delivery system for cancer immunotherapy, University of Massachusetts Amherst researcher Prabhani Atukorale, has been awarded $2.5 million from NIH to broaden the scope of her vaccine research to include treating those with active cancer.
The International Myeloma Society, in partnership with the Paula and Rodger Riney Foundation, is accepting applications for more than $3 million in research funding through its 2027 Translational Research and Career Development awards. The awards support research to improve the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders, while developing the next generation of researchers in the field.
