Jyoti Patel will join Northwestern Medicine as medical director of Thoracic Oncology and assistant director for Clinical Research at the Lurie Cancer Center this November. Patel, an expert in lung cancer and other thoracic cancers, will also serve as associate vice chair for Clinical Research in the Department of Medicine.
On Aug. 26, FDA approved the RAS inhibitor, daraxonrasib, sponsored by Revolution Medicines Inc. and also known as Rasonque, for patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who have received at least one prior systemic therapy or are not candidates for multiagent systemic therapy.
