As people continue to live longer and the survival rate of cancer diagnoses increases, researchers from VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center decided to lead a multi-decade analysis studying the rates of subsequent primary cancers, which are new cancers unrelated to the original diagnosis.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released a guidance for states on how to implement Medicaid work requirements that will go into effect nationwide on Jan. 1, 2027.

A research team led by investigators at Virginia Commonwealth University found evidence suggesting there is a positive association between GLP-1 agonists—drugs commonly used to treat obesity and diabetes—and better outcomes among breast cancer patients.
