Bridget Oppong was named deputy director of the Center for Cancer Health Equity at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).

FDA recently approved Alternative Standard #25 related to the Mammography Quality Standards Act. Alternative Standard #25 allows the interpreting physician to provide an assessment of “Incomplete: Need additional imaging evaluation” for the follow-up report issued within 30 calendar days of an initial report that received an assessment of “Incomplete: Need prior mammograms for comparison.”
A multidisciplinary team of experts in lung cancer screening and implementation science from the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, was awarded a $2.5 million grant from the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, an independent charitable organization, to spearhead a new initiative aimed at reducing disparities in lung cancer screening across Los Angeles County.
