Raymond N. DuBois, director of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, was inducted as a fellow into the Royal College of Physicians.

Shikhar Mehrotra, professor of surgery and Cecilia and Vincent Peng Endowed Chair in melanoma and cutaneous oncology, will take on the role of co-leader of the Cancer Biology and Immunology Research Program at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, alongside Philip Howe, professor and chair of the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Sophie Paczesny, professor in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology.
William Hawkins, a pancreatic cancer surgeon and scientist, was named deputy director of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. In the newly created role, he will focus on strengthening translational research, increasing clinical trials across South Carolina and assisting Craig Lockhart, chief of the Oncology Integrated Center of Clinical Excellence, with making clinical operations more efficient.
