Hopkins physicians achieve 95% cure rate for sickle cell disease with bone marrow transplant

A reduced-intensity bone marrow transplant regimen provides durable engraftment with low rejection rates and also may preserve fertility, according to researchers at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
