Dian Wang, William Tseng, and Brian A. Van Tine were appointed to NRG Oncology’s newly formed Sarcoma Subcommittee. Clifton (Dave) Fuller was named vice chair for NRG’s Imaging Committee.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center received a $9 million gift from the F. W. Bert and Mae Dean Wheeler Foundation to establish the F. W. Bert and Mae Dean Wheeler Nurse Leadership Academy.
The NRG Oncology Group Chairs created the position of associate group chair and selected Charles E. Geyer to fill the position, effective immediately. He will serve alongside the three NRG Oncology group chairs, Quynh-Thu Le, Robert Mannel, and Norman Wolmark.

After years of dedicated and enthusiastic commitment to the NRG and previously the RTOG Genitourinary Cancer Committee, chairing or co-chairing 13 research protocols for NRG and RTOG, Dr. Feng was appointed committee chair in March 2018, following in the footsteps of Dr. Howard Sandler, his mentor. Dr. Feng was also a member of the RTOG Foundation Board of Directors.
