New York Proton Center, WiTT Group partner to help patients navigate non-clinical challenges of care

The New York Proton Center and the WiTT Group Inc. are partnering to offer the WiTT Support Registry to provide patients with non-clinical support during proton therapy treatment.

According to preliminary data from a multi-institution phase III trial led by researchers at MD Anderson Cancer Center, intensity modulated proton therapy achieved similar clinical outcomes and offered significant patient benefits when compared to traditional intensity modulated radiation therapy as part of chemoradiation treatment for patients with oropharyngeal cancer. 
Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center—Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute opened a $100 million, 55,000 square foot proton therapy center. It is the first treatment facility in central Ohio offering this highly targeted form of radiation therapy for treatment of complex tumors that cannot be removed through surgery.
