A Cure in Sight Ocular Melanoma and the HonorHealth Research Institute Melanoma Clinic formed a collaboration to establish a Biorepository of Metastatic Uveal Melanoma, a multisite biobank of metastatic uveal samples to be used in studies that will lead to a better understanding of the disease.
Research from the University of Pittsburgh explains why metastatic uveal melanoma is resistant to conventional immunotherapies and how adoptive therapy, which involves growing a patient’s T cells outside the body before reinfusing them, can successfully treat this rare and aggressive cancer.
