NCI launches AI tool to help match patients to clinical trials

NCI Director Anthony Letai announced the development of TrialMatch, an AI tool that helps oncologists identify clinical trials for their patients.

Tagrisso increased OS in early-stage EGFR-mutated lung cancer at eight year follow-up, ADAURA phase III trial finds

Tagrisso (osimertinib) demonstrated a sustained, clinically meaningful overall survival benefit at eight years compared to placebo in the adjuvant treatment of patients with early-stage (1B, 2, and 3A) epidermal growth factor receptor-mutated non-small cell lung cancer after complete tumor resection with curative intent, according to the updated exploratory results from the ADAURA phase III trial.

As of the end of August, NCI has selected 1,891 competing awards for funding this fiscal year, all of which will be funded by the year’s end, NCI Director Anthony G. Letai said to the National Cancer Advisory Board.
