Celgene Corp. announced initial data from the dose-escalation part of an ongoing, open-label multicenter phase 1/2 study of investigational lisocabtagene maraleucel (liso-cel; JCAR017) in patients with relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia and small lymphocytic lymphoma, including patients with cytogenetic features of high-risk disease, who were previously treated with ibrutinib.

Trump administration broke law by canceling DEI research grants, GAO finds

The Government Accountability Office, an independent, non-partisan congressional watchdog agency, found that NIH violated the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 when it cancelled nearly 2,000 research grants in an effort to comply with several of President Donald Trump’s executive orders, including “Ending Radical And Wasteful Government DEI Programs And Preferencing” (The Cancer Letter, Jan 24, 2025).
