The American Association for Cancer Research Dec. 6 delivered a letter from the current AACR president and past presidents, urging the House and Senate leaders to “move quickly to finalize a multi-year, bipartisan budget agreement that raises the caps on non-defense discretionary spending in FY 2018 imposed by the Budget Control Act.”
Last week, Richard Pazdur was named to the position of director of FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. Much has been written about how Pazdur, with nearly a three-decade long career at the agency, represents a stabilizing choice for FDA as it faces inner and outer turmoil.
