NYU Dentistry’s Pain Research Center receives $8M NIH grant to study oral cancer pain

Researchers at NYU Dentistry’s Pain Research Center have been awarded a five-year, $8 million NIH grant to study signaling mechanisms that generate oral cancer pain. The funding is part of the NIH’s Helping to End Addiction Long-term Initiative, which supports the development of safe and effective therapeutics to treat pain in an effort to end the opioid crisis.
