Karmanos Cancer Institute, Lifeguard Health Networks to pilot virtual care platform

The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and Lifeguard Health Networks will collaborate to pilot a connected care program that provides patients and caregivers an integrated digital care platform to help them manage cancer care at home.

A recent article in JAMA Network Open published by myself and my research collaborators—Jill Harrison at Brown University, Sarah Yarborough at Fred Hutch, and Tammy Stokes at Maury Regional Medical Center—examined the potential for a brief communication-based intervention to help older adults with cancer who live in rural settings better manage their pain. 
Veeva Systems formed a ten-year strategic partnership agreement with Merck, that builds on the existing 12-year partnership between the companies. Under the terms of the agreement, Merck will take a Veeva-first approach to new industry-specific software and data, selecting Veeva products when they are fit for purpose to maximize the value of Veeva’s integrated, cloud-based platform and products.
