NCI has renewed the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center’s comprehensive designation.

“I think this is special, because I think it is a marker of an evolution of the institution, which has always been a basic science powerhouse, and now is enhancing an increasingly outstanding enterprise in translational cancer research and cancer care, community outreach and engagement, and education and training in cancer,” Carlos L. Arteaga, director of the Simmons Cancer Center at UT Southwestern, said to The Cancer Letter.
