The Business of AI in Clinical Research: Strategy, Scale, and Governance
Artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from experiment to infrastructure in clinical research, yet most organizations still struggle to turn promising pilots into sustainable, enterprise-wide capabilities. This three-hour online session gives healthcare executives and research leaders a strategic framework for AI decision-making.
Rather than focusing on technical development, the session takes a leadership and implementation lens. You will examine how to evaluate AI opportunities, navigate build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions, and manage governance and regulatory risk in a fast-evolving policy landscape. You will also explore why so many AI initiatives stall, drawing on empirical research into health IT and digital health adoption to understand what separates the pilots that scale from the ones that don’t.
The session is led by Professor Niam Yaraghi of the University of Miami’s Herbert Business School and the Brookings Institution, who brings both academic research and hands-on experience building AI-enabled tools in healthcare.
Participants will leave with a practical playbook for driving responsible, high-value AI adoption across their organizations.
