Neoadjuvant nivolumab shows long-term benefit in NSCLC

In a phase II, single-arm study published in Clinical Cancer Research, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research, patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer who were treated with neoadjuvant nivolumab had improved five-year recurrence-free and overall survival rates compared with historical outcomes.

EC approves Keytruda combination for a head-and-neck indication

The European Commission approved Keytruda (pembrolizumab), an anti-PD-1 therapy, as a monotherapy for the treatment of resectable locally advanced head-and-neck squamous cell carcinoma as neoadjuvant treatment, continued as adjuvant treatment in combination with radiation therapy with or without concomitant cisplatin and then as monotherapy in adults whose tumors express PD-L1 with a Combined Positive Score ≥1.
