Lee Wattenberg, emeritus professor of laboratory medicine and pathology at the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center, died Dec. 9 at the age of 92.
Connie Curran, 67, the first executive director of C-Change, died Nov. 10.
Jessie Gruman, founder and president of the Center for Advancing Health since 1992, died July 14. She was 60.
Emmanuel Farber, a pathologist who made contributions to the understanding of chemical carcinogenesis, died Sunday, Aug. 3.
Selma Ruth Schimmel died on May 21 from malignant psoas syndrome, a complication of the ovarian cancer, for which she was being treated. Schimmel, 59, died at Providence Tarzana Medical Center near her home in Los Angeles.
