Tagrisso (osimertinib) demonstrated a sustained, clinically meaningful overall survival benefit at eight years compared to placebo in the adjuvant treatment of patients with early-stage (1B, 2, and 3A) epidermal growth factor receptor-mutated non-small cell lung cancer after complete tumor resection with curative intent, according to the updated exploratory results from the ADAURA phase III trial.

Congress settled the FY26 question in February, with NCI receiving $7.352 billion, an increase of $128 million over the prior year. After a year in which cancer center directors spent an extraordinary share of their leadership attention defending the research enterprise, that outcome deserves to be called what it was: a win.

UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center has received $40 million from the OpenAI Foundation, the non-profit parent organization that governs the for-profit company OpenAI Group PBC, to generate data that could make personalized cancer vaccines more effective.
