Trump signs CR that funds government through Jan. 30, ending the longest shutdown in U.S. history

On the evening of Nov. 12, President Donald Trump signed a continuing resolution that officially ended the 43-day-long U.S. government shutdown that began on Oct. 1.

Trump administration and Cornell reach agreement to restore federal research funding

Cornell University has come to an agreement with the Trump administration that will unfreeze the university’s more than $250 million in interrupted federal research funding and “protect Cornell’s students from violations of federal civil rights laws, including from discrimination based on race, sex, or national origin, and promote America’s hardworking farming and rural communities” following accusations of antisemitism and discrimination in admissions.

GammaTile delivers superior tumor control vs. standard-of-care for newly diagnosed operable brain metastases

GammaTile showed superiority in the primary endpoint of the study. Patients who received GammaTile lived longer without tumor regrowth, reducing the risk of either tumor recurrence or death by 50% reduction compared to standard of care, according to interim results from the ROADS clinical trial, which evaluated GammaTile versus standard of care in patients with operable, newly diagnosed brain metastases.
