The American Association for Cancer Research released the AACR Report on the Impact of COVID-19 on Cancer Research and Patient Care, providing a comprehensive view of the burden of COVID-19 among patients with cancer; the challenges presented by the pandemic in cancer research and patient care; and the changes implemented during the pandemic that have unexpectedly improved research practices and access to care.

Lisa M. Coussens was elected president-elect of the American Association for Cancer Research for 2021-2022.She will officially become president-elect on April 12, 2021, during the AACR’s business meeting of members, and will assume the presidency in April 2022 at the next AACR annual meeting.
