King’s research was recognized by the National Foundation for Cancer Research for providing the first evidence of genetic predisposition to breast cancer. JAMES WILLSON was named chief scientific officer of the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas, effective March 1. Willson is the associate dean of oncology programs, and professor and director of the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

DEAN TSARWHAS was named medical director of cancer services for Northwestern Medicine's Lake Forest Hospital and Grayslake Outpatient Center. Previously, Tsarwhas treated oncology patients in private practice. He has also been on staff at Lake Forest Hospital.

PAUL KLUETZ was appointed associate director of clinical science in the FDA Office of Hematology Oncology Products, effective Jan. 24.
