Guidelines
Tobacco and alcohol ads, and ads advocating unproven therapies are ineligible. All ad placements are subject to availability. The Cancer Letter (Publisher) reserves the right to refuse advertising.
The Cancer Letter does not solicit sponsored articles. Advertorials must be relevant to our readership, and are reviewed for adherence to The Cancer Letter‘s editorial policies and advertising policies.Â
Deadlines
All web advertisements are due three (3) business days before their start date. Email and PDF ads are due two (2) business days before publication date. Sponsored articles are due ten (10) days before publication date.
Rescheduling
With written notice to the Publisher, Advertiser may cancel all, or a portion of the campaign without penalty up to fourteen (14) days before publication. Cancellations made after 14 days may incur the full insertion cost unless a reasonable accommodation is met with the Publisher. Rescheduling is not guaranteed, and no cancellation will be accepted without written acknowledgement from the Publisher confirming receipt.
The Cancer Letter will attempt to send out reminders prior to the due date, but it is the responsibility of the Advertiser to provide creative, content, and hyperlinks on time. Late delivery of materials may result in forfeiture of the advertising space at full cost.
Exclusivity
Category exclusivity is not guaranteed, however The Cancer Letter can advise on placement options if this is a concern.
Rates
All advertising is flat rate only.
Metrics
Metrics are available on request only. The Cancer Letter is able to provide views for web and email ads. Metrics for PDF ads are not available.Â
Terms and Conditions
- Advertiser agrees to protect and save harmless The Cancer Letter and its advertising representatives from any suits for libel, violation of right of privacy, plagiarism, copyright infringement, and any and all other claims in connection with the advertising referred to in this contract and assumes liability for all content of advertisements printed and for any claim arising there from made against Publisher.
- Publisher reserves the right at any time to decline any advertising that it feels to be inappropriate.
- Publisher reserves the right to hold Advertiser liable for payment due to the Publisher.
- Publisher makes every attempt to publish in accordance with dates agreed upon with Advertiser. However, Publisher does not guarantee dates of publication of any issue of The Cancer Letter. Publisher makes every attempt to accommodate position requests but does not guarantee position.Â
- In the event ad placements must be adjusted, Publisher will reach out to the Advertiser for final approval. If no response is received in adequate time, Publisher will use their best judgment to ensure the value of the advertising purchased and the spirit of the purchase and campaign objectives are preserved.
