CANCER EPIGENETICS INSTITUTE at FOX CHASE CANCER CENTER

The Fox Chase Cancer Center invites applicants for tenure-track faculty positions at the level of assistant professor and associate professor in the Cancer Epigenetics Institute and Nuclear Dynamics and Cancer program. The institute promotes basic science, while bridging mechanistic science to clinical impact through collaboration and institutional interactions. While outstanding candidates working in all areas of epigenetics and chromatin biology are encouraged to apply, we are particularly soliciting applications in the following areas:

1. the role of modified RNAs and epi-transcriptomics in gene regulation and/or in cancer;
2. the role of chromatin remodelers in cellular function (i.e., gene regulation, cell cycle,
   DNA repair, etc.)- and cancer;
3. the role of chromatin-associated mechanisms in cellular plasticity, tumor heterogeneity,
   and cancer development, progression and/or resistance;
4. the relationship between metabolic pathways and chromatin regulatory mechanisms;
5. DNA Damage and Repair Mechanism(s), chromatin and cancer.

Successful applicants will join a highly interactive institution that is committed to bridging basic discovery to clinical application through collaboration. Fox Chase was among the nation’s first institutions to receive Comprehensive Cancer Center designation from the NCI in 1974. There are 145 research faculty that generate $80.7 million in funding. The research faculty are surrounded by clinical colleagues that provide care for over 164,000 outpatient visits and support >130 treatment clinical trials, of which >25 are investigator-initiated. Two particular highlights of the center are the superb clinical pipeline that facilitates rapid translation of basic science discoveries into the clinic and the world-class core facilities that are easily accessed.
