The Wistar Institute Cancer Center and Christiana Care Health System’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute started a formal collaboration a decade ago.

Wistar, which has no hospital, gets to test its scientific insights in patients, and Christiana Care gets access to novel therapies—and an opportunity to advance science.

Though Wistar’s collaboration with Christiana Care has been noted as a success during the most recent renewal this year, the cancer centers don’t meet the institute’s criteria for being designated a consortium.
