ACS and MRA fund $4 million in grants on metastasis in melanoma, other cancers
The American Cancer Society and the Melanoma Research Alliance have partnered to support research by requesting grant applications involving interdisciplinary teams to better understand and manage metastasis of melanoma and other types of cancer.
A total of $2 million committed equally by ACS and MRA will be used to fund 2 Team Awards at $1 million over a 3-year term.

DOD Ovarian Cancer Research Program funding opportunities for FY2019
The FY19 appropriation provides $20 million to the Department of Defense Ovarian Cancer Research Program to support patient-centered research to prevent, detect, treat, and cure ovarian cancer to enhance the health and well-being of service members, veterans, retirees, their family members, and all women impacted by this disease.
The DOD Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs has published a pre-announcement to allow investigators time to plan and develop applications.
FY19 OCRP program announcements and general application instructions for the following award mechanisms are anticipated to be posted on the Grants.gov website in January 2019.
Pre-application and application deadlines will be available when the Program Announcements are released.
