In Brief University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center receives “outstanding” rating

The Masonic Cancer Center of the University of Minnesota received an overall rating of “outstanding” from NCI in the course of renewal of its five-year Cancer Center Support Grant and reconfirmation of its comprehensive status.

The center’s overall score has improved from “excellent” to “outstanding.” Since 1998, the Masonic Cancer Center has been recognized as an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center.

The Masonic Cancer Center will continue to lead the Minnesota Cancer Clinical Trials Network, which provides even better access to cancer clinical trials for all Minnesotans, in collaboration with Essentia Health Community Oncology Research Program, Fairview Health Services, The Hormel Institute, Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, Metro-Minnesota Community Oncology Research Consortium and Sanford Community Oncology Program of the North Central Plains.


Dominic Seraphin named VP of Strategic Alliances & Network at Moffitt

Dominic Seraphin was named vice president of Strategic Alliances & Network, a group dedicated to expanding access to care available at Moffitt Cancer Center. He will also manage business development and operations.

Prior to joining Moffitt, Seraphin served as administrator and managing director of the Medical Services & International Clinic at Johns Hopkins Medicine International in Baltimore.
